Golang Job: Systems Developer

Freightcom utilizes strong relationships with LTL carriers and national Couriers to develop pricing programs that help businesses cut costs on shipping. Our online platform provides the ultimate shipping solutions for businesses to get rates and book freight instantly without having to contact numerous carriers. Responsibilities:

Creating and integrating APIs, designing/refactoring database schema, maintaining/improving code base, and helping to develop our infrastructure.
Develop features, improvements, and enhancements to the Freightcom platform in a well-tested, secure and efficient manner.
Collaborate with product leads within the development team to maintain a high standard in a fast paced, ever-evolving environment.
Identify and solve technical problems ranging in degree of complexity.
Develop code that maintains internal standards for scalability, documentation and industry best practices
Collaborate with the team on larger projects while having the ability to complete smaller tasks independently.
Participate in scrums designed to troubleshoot product related operational, security and critical engineering issues.
Participate in all phases of the software development cycle
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of backend development experience
3+ years micro-services/service oriented architectures
Golang
AWS experience with:
EC2
ECS
SQS
SNS
S3
RDS
API Gateway
Lambda
Experience with 3rd party APIs and integrations considered an asset
Experience with considered an asset
HTTP API development experience considered an asset
Experience with Docker considered an asset
Comfortable with command line tools
Hybrid or fully in-house position.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

• Bonus pay

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
